I have a bar in my house, which I've stocked with all sorts of glasses, crystals..I do not keep alcohol in the house. Is a bar only for stocking alcohol ? What else could I keep, other than alcohol in my bar ? Its expensive, and once used to stock beer, wines and other alcoholic beverages, but not anymore and I dont want to remove it as it looks really nice. Any suggestions ?

You can decorate your bar with your collections, let's say sample wines, different shapes of lighters,picture frames of your favorite rock group or singers, hats or any collections you gather from the places you have been.
I think a bar is the perfect place to display your crystal! There are no hard and fast rules as to what you have to have stocked. If you don't drink I would suggest you use any hidden storage for other entertainment related items like coasters, table cloths, linen napkins, etc. Any remaining open storage can be used for decorative serving pieces, glass or crystal bowls, platters or anything usually kept for special ocassions. Lacking that, or if you don't have a full collection of those type pieces, family pictures or any favorite images in fancier frames. I would take the opportunity to inject some color either in the pictures or with serving plates and platters or even colored glass pieces. It will help your crystal stand out.
You can use the bar for any beverages, make it into a food bar or use it just as a display for your collection. A bar is a great place to eat snacks or breakfast and lunch. Think of it as an entertainment place instead of just a bar.
