What is the wavelength of a radio Photon at 1240 kiloherts?
What is the wavelength of a radio photon from an "AM" radio station that broadcasts at 1240 kilohertz? What is its energy?? Anyone help?

- wavelength = wave speed / frequency. In this case wavelength = 3x10^8 m/s / 1240x10^3 s^-1 = 242 m. Next E=hf where h is Planck's constant 6.6X10^-34 Js. Therefore E= 6.6X10^-34 Js x 1240x10^3 Hz = 8.18 x 10^-28 J = 5.13x10^-9 eV Here is a handy calculator: http://www.1728.com/freqwave.htm
