Can I keep a gold gourami and a blue female gourami along with 4-6 corydoras catfish in a 20H tank?

I have a 20H gallon tank and am planning to add a blue gourami and a gold gourami. Could I keep four to six corydoras catfish in the same tank? They are compatible because I have researched it, but I'm worried about the bio load and overcrowding. Both would be females and there is an air pump running 24/7 that is for a 20-60 gallon tank.

  1. You are not over crowding. And surprise..... If the gold is a male ,they could cross breed. The gold is a hybrid off the blue gourami strain.
  2. yes
  3. That should be okay, but that's fully stocked. I wouldn't add any more fish along with those. I'd say it's a good thing the gouramis are both female because fry would add too much to the bioload. Just don't add too many fish at a time and it should be fine.
  4. To know your not overstocking a good rule to follow is 'One inch of fish per gallon" So if you have a ten gallon tank you could have 10 one inch sized fish.
