What kind of doctor should I go to... ? Recommendations for Grand Rapids, MI doctors?

At work, whenever I have a lot of things to do, I NEED to write them all down, or else I will forget to do certain ones. When I start doing one of the tasks, I will get side-tracked and leave the task only half completed. Is there some kind of medication I can take to help me concentrate and focus so I am more productive at work? I am a 21 year old male. What kind of doctor do I go see? Any doctor recommendations for the Grand Rapids, MI area? Thanks!!

  1. I would start with you regular Dr. He will know what to do from there. Besides, if you need to see another, his office can get you an appt far quicker that you can on your own.
  2. Start with your gp. he may be able to help you. However, I suspect that your biggest problem is stress and lack of sleep. start by getting AT LEAST 8 hours of sleep every night andsee if that improves your concentration.
  3. Honestly.. this can be a multitude of things.. simply your brains way of dealing with stress to be honest... Start with your MD.... if you honestly believe you may have ADD <attention deficite disorder> then you will need a qualified psychatrist to administer the testing for it.... My son's went through Pine Rest's ADD/outpaitent area for testing... There are a multitude of medications for ADD.. starting with Ritalin and moving on to some newer one's that are IMO far better.... Good Luck!
